FAQ

Do you have a shop?

No, we come to your location. It would be preferable if you have an indoor garage or shaded area. We service the Greater Montreal area and surrounding areas like Laval, Mirabel, Terrebonne, Saint-Eustache, Dorval, Brossard, and Blainville.

Can I wash my car after the coating is installed?

Once the coating is applied, the vehicle should not get wet for the first 48 hours so it can be fully cured. After that, we advise our customers to not wash their vehicles for the first two weeks. The first wash after we apply the ceramic coating is free to you so we can check how the coating is holding up.

Can the ceramic coating replace my clear coat?

If your paint is chipping and fading due to clear coat failure, the only option to fix that is a repaint. A ceramic coating will not be able to help.

Can I just get the coating installed without the prep work or paint correction?

We do not apply coatings to vehicles that have not gone through the proper prep and correction as you will not reap the benefits of a coating without it. Without the proper prep work which would be the paint correction, you will not get 100% of the benefits of the coating. Not being able to have the prep work done will result in a decrease in results and desired protection that you expect.

How long does the process take?

Our paint correction and ceramic coating process can take anywhere from 8-12 hours to complete.

How long does the coating last?

At a bare minimum 2 years but typically up to 3. A lot depends on factors outside of our control; weather, how often the car is washed, and where it’s stored.

Eventually, the transparent coat will wear away over the years (this will be invisible to the eye) and its overall longevity depends on conditions, cleaning frequency, and proper application.

How much paint defect is removed with a paint correction?

We can usually remove 50-70% of swirls, and light defects on softer paints (like Honda, Lexus, Toyota), whereas on harder paints (like Mercedes Benz, Audi, BMW) this could be a 30-50%. Different variables can dictate just how much correction you can safely achieve in a single-stage correction process.

How can I maintain the the vehicle after a ceramic coating?

You can maintain your ceramic-coated vehicle with our maintenance plan. Our safe washing techniques and ceramic toppers will extend the lifespan of your coating.
